Who has seeds and clones for sale?

As it stands right now, only the ROs (AKA the article 3 licensees, aka the MSOs, aka big cannabis) are authorized by the OCM to sell seeds and clones.

Of course, some of those very same ROs came out pretty hard against homegrow back in 2019, so we have long been concerned that only authorizing sales by people who are opposed to homegrow might limit the OCM-authorized supply.

We decided to run a little test to see if we can get clones or seeds from the people who are authorized by the OCM to sell them.

So far, I haven’t been able to find any. Here’s what I learned:

• Etain was the closest so far - they don’t sell them “right now” but they are definitely looking into it. They took my contact information and promised to update me when the seeds and clones go on sale.

• Curaleaf was the farthest - the representative said that no stores have them, nor is she aware of any plans to do so. She also indicated that there was no one i could talk to to submit a request that they do start carrying them.

• Vireo was the most disappointing - they have an “I (heart) plants'“ t-shirt available on their website, but they definitely do not sell plants.

• Sunnyside also does not sell plants, but they wrote me back and said that I could ask them to carry the product and they would look into it.

  • I’m pretty far from sunnyside, so I don’t feel right asking them to carry plants just for my little survey, but if anyone is in the area and might get plants from them, here’s how you submit the request.

• Rise Manhattan transferred me to the customer service center. The service associate said they did not sell seeds or clones at the moment at that store. They weren’t aware of any plans to do so, and couldn’t say if other GTI stores carried them.

• Botanist - left a voicemail, but haven’t heard back yet.
